hey guys. i have a 6 inch clown trigger in my 125 gal. Most books ive read say that 125 is minimum tank size for a full grown clown. I think thats impossible. He looks cramped now and hes only 6 inches!(he swims around like a maniac all day long!)Now I am hoping to upgrade my aggressive tank to a 220 by Feb. Will a 220 be large enough when he reaches 20" or so? I wanT lil' Toby to have a nice life in a big home! Please get back to me. Thanks!

Well, its great to see someone who cares for the wellbeing of their fish. But triggers are pretty slow growers so time isn't a huge factor now. Clown triggers rarely do get much bigger than 14' in capitity. A 125 gallon will sufice for a long time, I would say to upgrade in year an a half to 2 years, I think, I could be wrong. I don't have clown trigger, but that's what I've heard. Also a 220 would be great for a clown as well as some other cool fish. What other fish do you have in the tank?

im sure he will be very happy in a 220 but odds are in captive he wont grow to be 20" but in a 220 he will get around 15"
good luck
