6500k for growth for sure, but color will suffer. Also, 400w? I think thats a bit excessive, to the point you'd be wasteing electricity and maybe even bleaching burning things.
definitely not worth it. At 220 why not look for that coralife fixture you should be able to fight that used for around 150 bucks. And that will be plenty for anything in a 40 gallon. Plus it is only 150 watts. Be cheaper to operate.
