is a bite from lionfish as bad as a sting???

don;t know about the bite but the stink can last for 3 hours and is very very painfull...i'd say the sting is worse unless they have poisoness teeth

Lionfish have venom only in their spines, not in their mouth. If the bite broke the skin I would wash it very thoroughly, and apply some antiseptic since infection is a real concern.

depends....if you pull back a numb i'd say getting bitten would be worse....if its a little scratch, then stung would be.

Lionfish do not have venomous bites. The dorsal spines do carry a toxin and can be very dangerous.

The sting is much worse imo because i have a 5 in long lionfish and when i go to feed him he sometimes bites my finger and it doesn't hurt. Anyways, lionfish kind of suck food in and don't bite it.
