Is a refugium or wet/dry sump filter needed for a 10 gal nano reef

I was wondering if a refugium or wet dry sump filter needed for a nano reef tank that is 10gal? I have heated of many different things on this and heard that it is a good upgrade after a couple months of having the tank up and running. Any opinions?

It really depends on what you want to put in it. Heck, I've even seen guys plumb a 2.5g sump into a 2.5g nano display, so it's not unheard of. A HOB refugium would probably be more feasible for you....
