Hi again...most things are doing well in my salt water world...I'll give a complete report soon...
But when I bought the tank, 55 gallons, I was sold the "ideal" lighting....a hood by a company called JBJ..that holds 4 - 55 watt PC bulbs...two white and two blue.
It looks good and is very bright...the problem is my first one stopped working at all, after a month. The LFS replaced it and it has worked well for about 3 months, but last week one of the bulbs blew. I bought a replacement, and it blew instantly!
I took the hood back to the LFS AGAIN, and he once more replaced the hood...this was last Sunday...today, (wednesday) another bulb blew!.
The bulbs keep cracking where they are attached together at the end away from the plug. It seems like a design fault...what do you all think?
The same bulb, left front, is the one that keeps blowing...
Anyway..The adventure continues!
Rick
