i have minor spots on my rocks containing bubble algae. Is this something needed to take care pretty quick. I just got an emerald crab but doesnt help too much.
Its not particularly harmful but it can spread and take over your tank. You can try removing the bubbles by hand as they should be hard but be careful not to break them open as you will release spores into the water that will make them spread faster.

I my sound crazy...I think it is pretty, it looks like marbles. Anyway, I busted a few years ago just hoping...nothing..the emerald crabs make sure it gets nowhere. So, your crab will get it be patient.
ight i use a turkey baster to squirt it away. and the bubble just float up and dissapear when i do. Is that a bad idea?
And how is it caused?...by not enough flow in the area, too much feeding, or too much light i dunno hah

I think it hitchhikes on the rocks. They feel like plastic.
I removed a small one yesterday then found two huge ones and two small ones today. I was able to get the tw big ones out but not the little ones as there deep in holes

how exactly do you get them out?
The big ones where in a big rut in the rock so I just used a knife to bump them out and got them with a turkey baster. The small ones are in tiny holes that I can't get at and the baster isn't strog enough to suck them out.

they dont pop they just float straight up....does that mean they just spread back again. Blowing them isnt getting rid of them huh?
Blowing them will just cause them to relocate. They might settle on the power head and you can get them from there. You can just gently pick them like a grape with your fingers.
Emerald Crabs may take a while??? Somethings hit and miss. But when I accidentally popped a big one a year or two ago, within weeks the little buggers where showing up.
Three small Emeralds where added and within a week or two they had vanished.
