I have a 55 gallon tank with two Trigger, Niger and a PicossoTrigger, I also have a Snowflake Eel. I rarely see the Eel since I put the two triggers in and I know they dont bite him when he is out cause in the begining they would come by him and he would ram them with his head for a display of dominance.
My question is I have not seen him in about 2 weeks and I am not sure he is getting the right amount of food. I have been sticking food in the hole I think he is in but am not sure. I dont see any noticable bites out of the food I stuff in the hole?? So how do I know if my Eel is getting food or not??

Eels can go a pretty good while without food and be safe. Sometimes they will hunger strike.
Have you tried rearranging the rockwork so you can see little hidden areas better?

I moved the rock work complelty around yesterday and but 2" PVC pipe in there for him but have not seen him since.
Can they really go 2 weeks with out eating a thing??
