Is ich contageous??

I had a tang die from it just this week then a clown died of it this morning i was just wondering if it is contageous??
Other fish in tank look great.... Iv had HORRIBLE!!! Luck with clowns so that was really no suprise... I have been treating the tank with a reef safe salution for 6 days... but now since all ich inhabitants are gone i was going to stop unless it is contageous...
QT tank i still cycling so i cant put fish in it at the moment .
Should i keep treating the tank or no?

what 'reef safe' solution do you use? does it actually work? it won't hurt live rock, corals, or motile inverts?

6 days is not a long enough to measure success. By the nature of the parasite, 3/4 of its life cycle is off fish. Wait another 10 days or so to see ich returns.
Ich is highly contagious. All fish require treatment. Please take time to read the Ich topic in the FAQ Thread at the top of this forum.
