Is is safe to add another fish?

Hello i wanted to add a flame angel today. All my level are ok except Calc is at 300 and phos is at .1. Are these levels harmful to fish?. Should i wait?

they are not toxic to fish, but remember you are battling an algae issue ( i think it was you?) and any new additions adding to your bioload is not good for that situation. but thats your call, good luck

what kind of fish do you already have, how old is your tank, how big is your tank?

I have a 55 gallon with 1 royal gramma and it's about 3 months old

you should have no problem. but remember that if you want to add any smaller fish in the future, you should hold off on the flame until last. the flame is considered somewhat bold though not necessarily aggresive. but for a 55, it'll probably be the biggest in your tank at full size, so I'd recommend adding him last.

Yea i didn't get him because i keep finding 1 million other fish i want and there's so many options that i stillll don't know exactly what direction i want my tank to go in. Also i feel so limited having a 55 gallon tank heh.

how's your algae doin??? IMO that would be my focus, not the next tank addition??? :thinking: Flames rock, but what's the point in a beautiful fish if your tank is covered w/funk???? not being a dic% but looking long term!

wait till at least 6 months to add this angel. these guys are also sensitive to water quality. if you are good on both of these i'd say go for it.
