I'll go on record as saying the following:
For starters I have a very demanding full time job that normally starts at 3:30 am and I'm seldom home before 3:00pm...so my employment demands a decent chunk of my time.
Normally everyday of the week I spend an hour or so early in the morning checking posts primarily in the reef forum...then in the evening I dedicate about another hour of my time to checking forums. If I can respond I do...if the question is redundant(can be addressed easily via on-site search) I let it pass...we have numerous members that have experience and knowledge that can better answer some posts and for that reason amoung others I often read a post then move on with no response(you'd be amazed at the volume of posts I read and never respond to!) I look to help whenever I can but time is rather limited.
Also keep in mind that "moderators" aren't assigned to answer each and every post...and the general membership here is more than capable of responding in most situations.
Bottom line is I dedicate a considerable amount of my personal time to monitoring these forums and I still enjoy it...plus I'm a hobbyist/father/friend/husband/employee...with numerous personal interests away from this site. I feel I provide assistane and respond to posts on a very frequent basis...If myself or others have over looked your posts there is little I can do to correct that situation. But I an convinced that the general membership here does a outstanding job of responding to a large number of posts.
Maybe if you spent half as much time monitoring the volume of posts this site gets in a day as I and the other moderators do you'd begin to understand the effort involved!!!
Sorry if you feel left out...but I believe the vast majority of reasonable questions get a qualified response.
