Is it okay to add the live sand on this site to an already established tank?

In my opinion, no. Since the LS is being shipped, it should be re-cycled a bit before adding. I'd put it in a rubbermaid with salt water and a powerhead. Get good circulation going, add a heater if needed. If you get zero ammonia and nitrite 24 hrs later, then you can start adding it in to your display.
