Is it too soon?

I just got (01/13/06) 2 Maroon yellow strip mated pair. Now I would like to get an anemone for them. But I’m not sure if my tank is ready for one. I have a 72 gallon bow front. It is 6 weeks old has 20 pounds live sand, 50 pounds live rock, I put bacteria starter in, 2 Yellow tail demoiselle, and one Blue demoiselle. I also have some corals. Lighting is metal halides and VHO fluorescent. I am thinking I would like a Rose Bubble or Green Carpet anemone. Is it too soon?

Yes, and if I were you, get rid of your damsels they are going to give your other fish problems when they become adults. IMO

I agree that it is far too soon for an anemone. 6 months minimum.
I disagree on your damsels. They tend to stay small. I have yellow tail damsels in my tank and they don't bother anything. They do get nippy when a fish comes near it's rock, but none of the fish seem to care. Funny to watch as my clowns will actually play with it. One clown will go near it's rock, get chased out and then the other goes near it from the opposite side causing the damsel to swim back and forth defending his rock!
The domino damsels on the other hand do get large and agressive, thus their title of holy terrors of the reef!

Agreed its too soon for an anemone, don't worry about the damsels, once the GSM get larger they WILL take care of those damsels.

:notsure: So it’s too soon for anemone. Will I need more lighting? Lighting is metal halides and VHO fluorescent.
I also have the lunar moonlights that come on for nighttime.
Only one of the damsels is in the tank. I put the other two (Yellow tails) in the refugium. I am new at this, so is it ok for the damsels to live in the refugium?
