would it be totaly worth it to make a sump for a 55gal?

i have a 10gal sitting in my room doing nothing if thats enouf
or is it better to just work off the back with hang on equipment?

A sump is always benifital but they are even better with alittle bit longer tank to incorporate a fuge into it aswell for macro algaes.

Depends. I think a sump is worth it if you set the tank up that way to begin with, such as buying a reef-ready tank with a built-in overflow, etc. If you already have the tank and want to set up a sump, then you're most likely going to have to use a continuous siphon overflow and run some plumbing up and down the back of the tank, which to me seems like more trouble than it's worth, imo.

i already have the tank and its all glass, not drilled
would it be worth the extra money to setup the sump?
my tank is still empty, and im getting my equiptment
