Is melafix OK with cleaner shrimp?

I have gotten where I add a little melafix when adding new fish and I am just wondering will it hurt my new cleaner shrimp that I am adding?

Perfectly safe for invertibrates. However it will make your skimmer for crazy with bubbles and foam. But does good for killing bacteria on cuts of fish. For the bacteria for nitrate cycle......the jury is still out. I used it on my tank thou for my lion. when he came from the store with a cut. I think it helped. Do water changes like it says. Very important as you will see.

Yes, it is safe with inverts. I would not use it unless you had to though.

I'm using melafix and would only use it in a qt tank.
