I have a 75g of which I had
2 clowns
1 royal grama
1 firefish
I got a call from my friend who sets up store for ***** (i know I know) and she said she had a coral beauty to bring me if I wanted. She said it had just came in and was still in the shipping bag and had not been in there tanks. I said ok
Well about 4 or 5 days later I noticed a few white spots on him. I did not know about Qt tanks at this time, my LFS didnt bother to tell me about them, but I ran out and bought a setup. I knew it was risky but I wanted to get him out of the main so I set it up and mixed the water and had him in there a couple of hours later.
I started treating with Cupramine and after about 5 days I seen no more white spots.
Well the next day I came home and seen white spots on the other fish. After a long game of catch I finally got them into the Qt tank to.
Now I have all five fish in a 10 gallon and its been about 5 days with them all in there. I only see a couple of white specs on one fish now.
The question is am I going to be ok trying to do this in a 10 gallon? I am running a Emperior 400 on it. I have some lace rock in there and a coffie cup. The firefish and grama have found a spot they like under the rocks, the beauty lives in the coffee cup and the clowns have allways stayed in the open.
I dont want to treat in my main because I have about 30 to 40 hermits, 10 snails, live rock and a cleaner shrimp.
I am planning on leaving them in QT for at least 3 more weeks to be sure if there was anything in the main it will die off.
I cant do hypo yet because i dont have a refractometer.
I know the tank wasent cycled but I have been keeping a very close eye on it and I have a Seachem alert stuck to the glass and I have only been feeding every other day and a small amount.
The fish are still eating very very good and are not breathing hard or anything.
I am going to up to a 29 gallon i believe but it will be a few weeks before i can get one.
Thanks
