Is my blue hippo pooping???

Well im at a lost right now with my blue hippo, this morning when i went to go feed my fish i noticed some weired stringy looking food thing comming from my hippo's bottom fin as i marked it in the pick...is it pooping or is he sick

its pretty weird...all parm are normal and water temp is at 78...it comes and goes from what i see and then my goby goes and its it if it drifts by him
