Is my bumblebee a killer?

I got home from work to day and found one of my bumblebee snails eating a hermit crab. the crabs shell is empty and his legs are sticking away from the snail. Any opinions about what probably happened would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe the hermit was dead and the snail decided to take advantage of it. Bumblebee's are sand sifting snails and I think they may be obnivors. See if he goes after anything else in the tank. How big is the snail and how big "was" the hermit?

Both could be described as tiny. The hermit was smaller than a pencil eraser and the bumblebee is just a little bigger. I've heard mixed reviews about them after I bought five. So I need to know if I should take them back.

Since you are from Cincinatti what do you think of Tim Austin?(IBF bantamweight champion of the world) I love him, but he should be more active.

Learned from experience, they will eat yellow pollups. We bought one because they are so differant looking, very cool. Had no problems until we put in a really nice yellow pollup rock. In one night it ate all the pollups. Have not had any other problems that I know of . This is the only distructive thing I have seen them do...cya...fixit
