Well I found my clown caught in the overflow this morning... could not get it out except for it going down.. soo I had to do it... as soon as it popped out it was swimming all around.. I caught it and put it back up... a little later I did a water change.. which would be the first water change this new fish has seen... it went to the bottom corner and laid in the sand while I did it.. I left for awhile.. and found it again in the overflow... I had to let it go down again... i couldn't get it this time and it ended up in my fuge... it was jumping all around at the top of the water... Idk if it was catching pods or what but it looked a little weird... and then it just went down to the bottom and is laying on its side... I don't want to try and stress it.... what should I do?? is it okay??

Sounds like he is probably very stressed right now. You need to rig up something so he can't get into the overflow. I had to do it because my yellow watchman was doing the same hing. I used some eggcrate for awhile and now I don't and the watchman hasn't done it since.

Yes I already rigged up something... it is some netting that is fiberglass and is not affected by salt... although the only thing I could think of holding it there was a rubberband... any other suggestions?? I'm thinking this may not hold too long with a rubberband...
As for the fish I guess I should just let him stay there for awhile?

Stay where? Is he in the overflow now? If he's in the tank, I think you should leave him alone. I've heard of nori rubber bands being ok. I haven't ever bought any. I see LFS stores using regular rubber bands to tie down seaweed to rocks so regular rubber band should be ok too. I like the eggcrate method. I just cut it to fit in the slots of the overflow preventing the watchman from being able to go over the overflow box.
