Is my clown sick?

I have a sebae clown and I noticed that its fins, the ones under its stomach, have black lines on them. Also the fin on its back looks like its damaged. Is it fin rot? What are the black lines? Are they the effects from the cycle. I read once that if a fish goes through a cycle (high ammonia, nitrite) it will get fin rot. Am I just being paranoid? It looks healthy. It swims happily and eats a lot, too.
Could anyone please help. If my sebae clown is sick, can anyone help me to cure it? I have invertebrates, lr and ls in my tank. I know some medications do not work with invertebrates and lr. So thanks in advance for the replies...

Are the black lines something new? Did you get the fish as juveniles?
Finrot...check for harrassment by other fish. How are these fish acting and eating besides these few things you are concerned about ?

Beth, yes the black lines are something new. Today I noticed that a new black spot appeared on the sebae's tail.
I think I got it as a juvenile, I do not really know, but the size is relatively small, and when I first got it the body was light brown. Now the body has turned to darker brown. The fins were yellow, except the dorsal fins which have the same color as the body. I do understand that as the sebae clown grows older the coloring will change, and it will turned black. In fact I just saw an adult sebae clown yesterday and I saw the bottom fins, but they are still bright yellow.
The clown is eating fine, and swimming normally. The only weird behavior I've seen so far that it likes to kindda scratch its mouth to the live rocks.
I bought a cleaner shrimp and it has been trying to approach the sebae clown. But for some reason when the cleaner shrimp was about to 'work' the clown swims away. I have a feeling that the clown is scared because the shrimp is relatively bigger than the clown. Will getting a smaller one change the clown's behavior towards the shrimp?
I've read something about black ich. But I didn't find much info on those. I've read some for freshwater fishes, and the black ich should be gone by itself. Then again its freshwater. I was looking for the disease page, and noticed that the page on diseases and treatement of SWF.com is gone now. What happened to it? Anyway does my clown have black ich?
And about the fin rot, I do not think it is. The back dorsal fin is fine now, though I do think that the clown and the damsel have been fighting.
Sorry for the long post, I hope these extra information helps. Thanks again...

Tomb, what you are describing sounds like ick. Naso, as to the black lines, unless the lines looks like it is growing or attached to the fish I would not think that it is a problem for now. Lines, unless red, are usually not diseases.
Good idea to get a cleaner. Also, feed the fish garlic soaked food. Garlic will assist with repelling parasities, but it also has a mild antibiotic quality to it and it is an immune booster. Sounds with the the frayed fins that the fish may have been harrassed. If so, this can cause fish to changed colors. This fish being a juvenile, I think that what you are seeing is basically growing up. Keep an eye on him, especially for scratching activity. Take a good look at the gills to see if you notice them swollen or any abnormal gilling activity.

Beth, thank you so much for the help, though I still have one question remaining. Should I get a smaller cleaner shrimp? About the gills, I have checked and they are perfectly fine. Alright, thank you, I really appreciate it.
