Is My Filter System Good???

Today Iwent out and bought a Tetratec PF500 w/built in heater for my 30 gallon. I want to know if this is a good purchase. I bought this b/c later on I will upgrade to a larger tank. Thanks

It's alright for the 30g,and to run carbon . but don't rely on that to be your main filtration in a reef..
its rated 500gph so its good for water movement and for mechanical filtration...
