Also depends on what sort of mushroom it is. If it's say a Rhodactis Sanctithomae or Rhodactis Mussoide (aka elephant ear) then it would be a steal. If it's just a plain mushroom, may not be a steal but still would be worth getting if the color is nice. I can get mushroom rocks with all sorts of color for $29 and the rocks usually have 7 or 8 shrooms attached.

well if anyone wants shrooms i have a ton that i am getting rid of. let me know. littlebuck70@yahoo.com i am shutting down my tank and need to get rid of them and dont want to take them to the LFS.

Where are you guys at??? Bobs Tropical Fish in Augusta Ga, is really cheap then. I bought a rock with 12 plus large green richordias on it, and a strange looking puprle, and pink mushroom on it for 40 dollars. he has rocks covered with mushrooms for sale all day long for 29 dollars. i bought a piece with 3 blur richordias for18 dollars. i thought that was high. but they are nice large shrooms. :jumping: :jumping: :jumping:

I'm in IA and a piece of rock with shrooms on it go for about $48.00 - $52.00 and they are really small pieces on fiji rock. My LFS has virtually no competition so he can charge whatever he wants. People with saltwater tanks here pay it.
Yesterday afternoon my LFS finally got his carribean rock in he has been waiting to get for three weeks. I think I got a pretty good deal from him - $7.00 per pound.
Since he called me the minute it came i I took it home and cleaned it myself because I didn't want him to put it in his tank as right now he has a few small pieces of bubble algae in it, and I didn't want to bring that problem home. :scared:

Big Tang 803- where is that LFS, next time I'm down that way I'd like to check it out! Oh yeah and I have paid $18 for a regular old mushroom. Its on a pretty piece of rock and it also had some small leathers on it, but they got eaten!

The store is on Washington road in augusta. Right off of the interstate. Try to get with tony or Byron. Their toll free number is (800)457-0320. Another wonderful store is 4 miles down the road in evans. It is Called Star Aquatics. He has some of the nicest corals, and fish that i have ever seen. His name is George, and he used to have a large fish store in Atlanta. You should check them out. I am real fortunate to have 6 saltwater fish stores within an hour from here. :jumping: :jumping: :joy: :joy:
