I have a tank raised Maroon Clown. Not sure if yours is tank raised, but mine is very friendly so far. I have him in my tank with an Atlantic Pygmy Angel and an Orange Spotted Goby. They all get along.

my clown is an absolute a s s. he chases and hates everything and anything that gets within 4" of his anenome. however, he doesn't leave the area ever so i'd say heck yeah a 46gal should be perfectly fine. he never seriously nips at other fish, just chase. little dog complex and when i say "he" i mean "whatever it is" interesting as hell tho, and i'd buy another for every other tank if i had the money.

Its not uncommon for clowns to be excessively agrressive around their host anemone. The only clown that I knwo of that is naturally aggressive is the Clarkii, those little

are evil.

:mad:One of Mine will even bite me, if i get to close to his Gonopora, that he has taken too!!! Hes a mean little guy. But the other, which is a gold stripe maroon, is as friendly as they get, go figure.

May want to keep an eye on the damsel. My damsels are kind of mean when a new fish comes in. My 4 stripe will swim on his side and kind of taunt the other fish. It is odd to watch... but I have heard a lot of success stories with damsels and other fish so good luck to you. Just saying keep an eye out. My damsels do a lot better now
