is my war coral dying or getting too much light?

here is a picture of it. the center is colored nicely, the outside of it is faded/white/translucent. I don't know if that is because it's on a rounded peice of rock and the the outskirts of it are just stretched out or if it's because of the light
i thought i remembered it kind of being like that when i brought it home tuesday night. but now i don't remember if it was soo much. it is sitting on top of a rock about half way up the tank. i have a tek light t5. 2 54 watt daylight bulbs, and 2 actinic. the daylights are on for 8 hours a day.
should i move it down and put it under another rock, or should i just move it lower in the tank. my favia i got on the same day is about 6 inches lower than that, but still in direct light and seems to be fine.

That could have been caused by one of a couple things. To low light, which is not your case for that coral. It could have stressed during the move from their tank to yours, and therefore shed some zooxanthellae.
Or it could have gotten to warm in the bag from the lfs, but if that's as bad as it gets it's an easy fix.
2 things...
Time
and meaty foods.
Be careful after you start feeding it though, it's stingers will extend very long at night, hence it's name.
