There are several types/grades of carib sea sands...also Natures Ocean LS is an extremely high quality product...I've even tried with success a silica based playsand(in my 29 gal) ... do a search on the topic and there is no doubt you'll find enough reading info to fill a small library

Hey NM Reef....
That is a very cool fishy you have there. A Humahuma Trigger? Where do you get them? I think I'd like one of those way down the road if I can find one. What do they eat? Hard to keep? Prone to disease?
BTW....love your tank pics, you have some gorgeous corals. I especially like the Red/Green Open Brain......awesome! :)

ReefCrazy,
NMreef said "I've even tried with success a silica based playsand" this is the type of playsand that you will find at home depot. Mal also said that he was setting up a tank using Quickrete playsand if memory serves me right. Did you check the garden center at your local Home Depot, that is where you usually find Southdown playsand.
These are just alternative to that which you can purchase at your LFS.
