Is their such a thing as too much filtration?

I have a prizm skimmer, a sandman, and I got an emperor 400. Well, lately I have just ran the skimmer and the sandman, because my emp. 400 has been broke. Well, now I have it fixed and I was wondering if I should run it again?
I cannot take it back the Emp. 400 because it was given to me.
Can I run all three, the skimmer, and the 2 filters or is that too much?

I don't think you can overfilter a tank,MECHANICALLY.Except for UV sterilizers.They can actually harm your tank if too strong,or flow rate too slow...

you could jsut run it w/o filter media and just use fro circulation;then if for some reason you do need to add some kind of media for one reason or another, could always add it then remove when not necessary

jakob is right, that is what mine does, and when adn if i need arbon, i just pop it in, or as mr salty said, i don't think you can actually over filter with mechanical filters either
