quick questian
I am trying to get ahold of the invintor of the wave2k to meet with him and ask questians about his product,alot of people from this site have asked for me to inorm them when the time comes so I can make a video and post here on the boards my questian is can I do that and second can a post a link to his site. he dose sell the itam hiself but has no links to any other competetors. I wated to ask the admin but am not shure of his email let me know what my boundries are or if im just wasting your time if you need my email its patrickdennis@charter.net thanks

Links of any kind are not allowed. i would suggest a "google" search or maybe your email addy, but do not advertise his site or product. HTH Barry

Sign, while I personally love the product, links to aquarium products must be banned.
My *guess* is that all commercial videos are a no-go.
Now, if you filmed your own tank, and linked to that you might get by with it. We're awaiting news from the admins.

yeah the vid would be of him ansering questians that swf.com members have asked only and is there a way I could email the admin? Remember my main goal is to help us not sell his product

since I have you mods here, why has there been a flux in spam? It seems to come in waves as well is this a person or a cumputer. As you know I report what I see

The majority of the spammers are computers. Easily identified by the post it note to the left where the icons go on the threads.
We do appreciate you and everyone else that reports them. We delete as fast as we get them reported if we do not catch them ourselves. Thanks, Barry

Its called a bot program with predetermined inputs so when it gets to a site that has a specific log in page it will pull a set of parameters to enter into the site and start spammin.
Its very complicated. and I have to no idea how to make the program but they work.
they also do this with posted emails they read and store them in a database and then start sending out emails most of the time its all automated.

is that why some sites now have passwords to read before signing up?
I was at at site awhile back that my sis in law sent me to and it made me put in a random code.

Sorry to hijack the thread... Im the guy who asked if putting up a frapper map would be ok. I noticed the thread has been "moved" and I can no longer access the thread. I assume everything is not perfectly ok or the thread wouldn't be locked.
The big question is... Do you want me to take it down? Or would you like me to try to pass off the administration of it to one of you guys? :notsure:
Any response would be appreciated.
