I don't use an Aqua C skimmer but I can tell you that out of the 5 skimmers I have used over that past 20 years they all needed a break in period. Some a little more then others. I had an ETSS RDII that needed a break in period everytime I feed the tank, changed the water or stuck my hand in the water.

MAC ,
ARE YOU SAYING THAT I will not see that beautiful slime for a while , and sometimes when you do a water change , it will take a while to build up again .
People say that your water clarity changes for the better and so many manufactors state that , besides what it used used for .
so far but its only beginning of use just white suds.
WHAT IS THE TERM BREAK IN PERIOD , IS IT THE PLACTIC HAS TO BE BROKEN , THERE ARE NO MOVEING PARTS ???
THANKS

I run the aqua C remora, and yes it went through a break in period, for the first 2-3 weeks, lots of bubbles, lots of water in cup, now there is minimal bubbles and the cup usually just has dry foam in it. give it a little time.
