Is there any reef safe anenomes for clownfish. Save my shrooms. Help.

My two percula clownfish insist on playing in my mushrooms in my reef. The mushrooms don't seem to mind all the time... but they do shrivel up in anger occasionally. My question is... are there any reef safe anenomes that won't eat my small fish... and will remain stationary... and the clowns can play in? Ugh.

I've never known a bubble tip or long tentacle to eat anything other than what they are fed directly.

i dont know if there considered reef safe because they can all sting, but the bubble tip seems to be a very popular one. although it does move around just like most of them. also make sure you have pristine water quality and plenty of lite b4 you even think of it. maybe a shark can help you out better or someone with a little more anemone experience. good luck

If the tank is already setup with a bunch of corals, then it is going to be harder, all anenomoes move around until they find a place that they like, it is best to add them first and let them get settled in and even then they will move if something changes in the tank (water flow, lighting) I have had good luck with a bta I have only had it for about 6 months, but it has split once and grown alot, from everything that I have read the seem to be the hardest ones. I still have a long way to go before I can say I am having success with mine.

Im no expert ,but IMO I have 4 anemones in my reef, There is no Guarantee that any clown will go to any anemone, some anemones move, some dont, I like carpets, long tentacle and sabaes, which cover the likes of most clownfish

I've had a bubble tip for 11 months. He's never moved. I'm also no expert either. You've got to have stable, long term water paramiters, good lighting, and good circulation. A clown will help to acclimate them. I've also got a new carpet. In decending order, I would say that the easiest to keep are carpets, bubble tips, then long-tentacles. All will host percs. If the percs are tank-raised, they might not jump into the anemones.
