Okay, so I got a tank raised clown (false perc) last Thursday and it died Friday of Brokynella. You guys probably remember the thread. Anyway, what I'm wondering is how does a tank raised clown get Brokynella. I told the owner of the LFS that it died and of what and he pretty much called me a liar. " Well, I haven't had wild clown fish in three years. " I put him in a 55 with no other fish. Could he have gotten it off of the live rock? Kinda made me mad because he didn't even last a day and the dude showed no sympathy what so ever. So I'm puzzled.

Brook is transmitted from fish to fish. Brook can be contagious to any fish, just more so with wild clownfish.
