Is this a Baby Flower Pot

For over a year and a half I had a real nioce branching flower pot coral in this tank. then after switching out my lights from PC to 175 MH with VHO actinics it died. A few weeks ago my wife noticed this growth down in a rock crevice and she thinks (and so do I) that it is a small growth of flower pot coral. Take a look and tell me what you think it may be. sorry the photo is poor but so is my camera and photography skills.

Looks alot like the flower pot that i had. But i did not think that these could regenerate due to the fact that they have a hard shell that the tentacles come out of. But it could be a xenia they are similar. Yours does have that greenish tint that makes it look like a flowerpot. Sorry i am just arguing with myself. Good luck getting a positive id on it.:D

I am sure it's not xenia as I can see down to where the individual stalks of the poly retract into a rock like skeleton just like my branching flower pot did. Unfortunately this is about the best my camera can do. Xenia (which has never been in this tank BTW) is more of a single stalk that splits over time and does not retract into a rock like skeleton.

Perhaps when the mother coral was dying, and gonis die regardless of changing light, the coral reproduced from stress. This is called "polyp bail out", and normally corals reproduce by releasing sperm and eggs.....polyp bail out often means trouble for the mother, but not always.........is it a goniopora? easy to tell...are there 24 tenticles on each polyp? if so, it is a goni. BlennyBabe.....got pics? how long you had it? If you are truly having long term success with a goniopora, then you are the only person I have ever met or talked to....I hope you share your experience with us.
