Is This A Good Sign???

I purchased a cleaner shrimp yesterday. He is the 1st to go in my tank besides the damsels that cycled. When I put the shirmp in and aftr he acclimated I let him go on top of a rock. He crawled all over the place and I watched him clean 3 of the damsels in the first hour or so. Is it safe to say he wasnt affected too much by being put into my tank?

Well that's what a cleaner shrimp do, walk around, picks up some parasites, eat them, and walk again around . One thing though, you said that your tank is still cycling, how far are you from being done? I'm just affraid that it won't be able to stand the spikes, that's all. Other than that, he should do just fine.

yeah that is the normal behavior of cleaner shrimp.try putting yoru hand in the tank near them next time, sometimes they wil jump on your hand and clean it as if it were a fish. ANd it feels totally weird!
