My clownfish has this thing hanging from it's gill. I've been trying to find on the internet what it is, but nothing fits the description. It's whiteish/pinkish, and the fish seems totally fine except for this thing hanging from it. I gave it a freshwater dip for about 10 min. two nights ago, and was probably going to try again tonight. From what I have been reading in the book I own on clownfish, freshwater dips can kill parasites. The fish is breathing normal, eating normal and swim with my black and white percula just fine. Thoughts? I don't know all of the exact levels of everything at this time. I'll try to post them tomorrow night if I have time to take them. I know I have had problems keeping the salinity level within the right range, with getting a little high at times. Also, when I add new water, I've been using Ammonia Detox(sp. may be wrong) to "age" the water and bring the ammonia to the correct level. Let me know if I forgot to mention anything. This is my first time posting on here! I'm also new to marine aquariums, so let me know if I'm making any dumb rookie mistakes. I have done freshwater aquariums for a long time so I do understand the basics. I'll appreciate any advice. Thanks!!!
