Is this a typical size Pink-Tip?

I ordered a pink tip anemone from swf.com (and also got one free) and was pleasantly surprised to find that they're HUGE! Needless to say the plan changed from putting it into my 14 gallon Biocube so both are now in my 55 gallon. I assumed I would get a small one and would watch it grow over time but no need to wait - they're big and gorgeous NOW. Do they keep on growing or do they max out at some point?

Nice looking anemones. Glad to see someone actually had a tank to put them in, just in case they arrived large (as they did).

Thanks, I actually did feed them yesterday just because I didn't know the last time they had been fed and they had that traumatic trip in the Fed Ex truck (not to mention it's so much fun to watch them eat!)
Yes, I always try to have a back-up plan when ordering online because when you don't know exactly what you're gonna get it's hard to know if you're going to have the right environment for it. As much as I love getting all the stuff I can, my first priority has got to stay focused on doing what's best for the livestock.
All we can do is try, right?

I got the same one from SWF.com. Everything I order comes in real healthy. I got some of the frags (torch and hammer) and they were amazing. My first order I ordered a few fish and some inverts and one of the royal grammas died. They gave me credit and I got something else. You can't go wrong here.
BTW My smaller Clarki loves the Pink Tip and you can't beat the price. Lol

Wow Mary - I keep reading that fish don't normally host this type of anemone! You've given me hope! I have a gold-stripe maroon clown in there and was hoping he'd check it out someday - maybe he will!

My two weirdo Clarki's host everything. I felt that I had to get them some anenomes. They each have their own at opposite ends of the tank and are so happy. They are very protective of them also. I have to trick them to make them come away from them so I can feed the anenomes. I have two Ocellaris' and they are kinda boring. The Clarki's have alot of personality. They hosted these guys within an hour.
