Is this Aiptasia?

I have a couple of these on my live rock in my 40 gallon. I'm not sure what they are. I did a bit of reading about aiptasia, and I am hoping that is not what this is, though it is seemingly very likely. If that is the case, what's the best method to rid the tank of it?

That is what is looks like to me. Had had the same in my 150 gal and my LFS sold me a Zoster Butterfly fish. After a few weeks I have not seen any Aiptasia sense but now that I have said that word it will probable so back up. The guy at the LFS said that it would eat the stuff and it did, he steered me away for the copper-banded.

Totally agree, it is indeed aptasia. Peppermint shrimp are the best aptasia eaters I know of. I wouldn't put a butterfly fish in a 40g. get some stuff called Joe's Juice or Aptasia X and without touching it...squirt a dab right into the center disk and watch it melt and die right then and there. However if you have one...you will have more.
