I currently have a 55 gallon tank with:
Deluxe full fluorescent hood with two 15-watt fluorescent bulbs
20/40 power filter
80 LBS of live Sand
50 LBS of live rock
Wave Maker
10 gallon sump with a Danner Mag-Drive Supreme 5 500 GPH Water Pump
and another 20/40 power filter with with 5 additional lbs of live rock in there.
Is this an okay setup for right now? For right now I only have 1 sea star, 2 blue legged hermits, and 1 scarlet hermit. I'm not interested in corals at this moment in time. If I was to become interested in corals what more in filtration would anyone reccomend. Do I need some more filtration now?
Thanks!

sounds pretty good to me. The only thing I really see that missing is a skimmer. Aqua remoras are great for that tank size, and if you decide on corals later, a lighting upgrade.

Got any pictures

Also, are you saying you have a hob filter on your sump? if so I dont think that one is really needed.

Yep, all I see is a potential skimmer (I like the Coralife Super skimmer or AquaC Remora) and a definate lighting upgrade if you want corals later on.
