hi, just wondering if this coral is healthy...i think it looks great but i've thought that before and it turned out they were working overtime to keep from dieing... it looks like it is feeding even though the atitcs on the tank are still on, i thought they were nocturnal, my other one only extends its teticals at night to feed....thanks sorry for the bad photo its near the back of the tank....

It don't look like a brain coral to me , it kinda looks like a cross between a candy and a acan
. Either way it looks OK to me. My candies look like that with the lights on or off. I sure some one with more ID experience will chime in.

It looks like a candy cane to me also. Is it hard or soft when you touch it. If it's soft then it's a CC.

it looks very healthy to me, my favia favus feeds like that whenever the lights go out, and whenever it senses food in the water column. once it builds a complete dome shape the growth rate will appear to slkow because it wont be adding as many polyps just growing outward.
