This has started to show up on LR, tank is about 6 weeks old. Some is being eaten by hermits and lawnmower blenny, but it doesn't seem to be their favorite, should I be worried????

Thanks, I'll continue to read up, don't think from what I've seen that it
is the red slime or cyanobacteria.

no, it is not cyanobacteria.
It is one type of brown hair algae.
They don't spread as bad as green hair algae.
Emerald crabs love it.
I had some in my tank before and today is day3 after the 2 E. crabs were added, most of the brown algae in my tank are gone.

Cyanobacteria doesn't always come in red shades. It can be a brown form too. If it is slimey and vaccuums up easily it is cyano. I do not think yours is cyano, It appears to be some kind of hair algae. Try some emerald crabs and do water changes to get out as many of the algae spores as possible. Have you tested your phosphate levels?
