Is this Brown Jelly disease? -Pics

If so, should I cut the infected heads off? I just bought this coral a week ago from SWF!!!

There used to be heads on those two but they turned into that. It also looks like its spreading to another head. Anyone??

Yes, that's brown jelly disease. There are accounts of it spreading and killing healthy corals, but I've never experienced this personally. Still, no harm in cutting the dead remnants with the jelly off. Just be sure to do it outside of the main tank so that the jelly doesn't go water bourne.

yeh if I where you break off those heads as soon as possible.
also do what mx#28 said take out the piece to break it so the jelly is not in your tank.
You could also suck out the jelly with a tube before moving it.

What could I use to cut the dead skeleton? I've only had this coral for a week, should I look into getting credit back from SWF?

It looks like in the picture you have it too close to the torch. What coral is it a Caulastrea?

Yeah that's what I was thinking also, Torch corals are extremely aggressive towards any coral close to them.

I'm pretty sure the whole thing is the torch coral. It's just that some of the heads are dead and covered in brown jelly and the others are still extended and healthy looking.

Yes the whole coral is the torch coral. Any suggestions on how to cut it or about returning it for a refund?

Ah, I see now the dead heads are actually part of the Torch. In that case you can break them off or cut them with a Dremel then toss them.
