Is this bryopsis?

The top pics look like standard green hair, but it's easier to tell when it gets longer. The bottom looks like bryopsis to me.
Bryopsis is harder to physically remove than run of the mill green hair. It seems to root deeper. Regular green hair will come off in clumps when you manually remove it. Bryopsis tears off and the rooted part remains behind.

doesn't look like it to me. bryposis will grow with small feathery palm tree like ends. Besides if that is bryopsis that short by tommorow or the day after it will have grown three times that length. If you pluck out a strand of bryopsis a tiny piece of rock where its mounted to usually comes up with it. there's really no mistaking the speed and intrusiveness of bryposis. if thats been in your tank more than a couple days its probably not bryopsis.
Bryposis is a B&#^*#^*# the most annoying algae ever until you discover a 400-500ppm bump in mg with tech M kills it off fairly quickly. I've never had a clump or patch of it but single strands pop up from out the rock. no matter how much I pulled it out, how much I changed the water, how little my bioload was, how much phosphate media I used a few days later I'd be plucking stands out again. I cant imagine how bad a problem it could be in a tank with a higher bioload or less than weekly water changes. trying to eliminate bryposis without the use of mg makes the task of trying to eliminate hair algae a treat!
