48" Aqualight T-5 - Double Linear Strip
Fixture Includes:
* 28 watt 10,000K daylight and 28 watt true actinic 03 blue T-5 fluorescent lamps
* On/off switch and built-in ballasts
* Sleek, designer-black aluminum housing
* Highly-polished reflector
* Acrylic lens cover
* Adjustable width tank mounts
I now have a 48" compact hood w/ 2 98 watt actinic and 2 98watt daylight, I just want to get something to save on power cost. would I be better off with a quad T-5?

For fish you don't need intense lighting at all, just enough to see them that looks appealing to you. The standard flourescent bulbs that freshwater set ups come with would be fine, you're not trying to "grow" anything with lighting here.

no I just want good lighting the amount I have now is great but the bulbs are expensive and they use so much power
