Honestly, It's nothing more than an a water pump with a lot of plumbing. I like the idea of being able to direct flow to various areas with spray bars and I use this same concept on the inside, back of my tank and undeneath my LR. This creates a lot of flow in stagnant areas, flushes out detritus etc.. You can do the same thing with a few fluval parts/fittings from your LFS. I would use the money for an overflow, good quality pump and then make a fuge out of a 30g tank. That way you have a sump, area for cheato, more water volume
