i have a pair of ocellaris clowns i bought back in october. They were tank raised and i was told were around 5-6 months old, one was about 1" and the other was about 3/4". they have since grown well to 2 1/4" & 1 3/4". i dont no if they are old enough or big enough to be breading yet ? for the past 3 months the larger one has been semi hosting my frogspawn...mostly hiding under it and somtimes in it, she does not let the little one near it at these times but when she is out in the rest of the tank the stick together. in the past week the smaller one when swimming next to the big one will turn on its side a shake its whole body like its having a seizure. it does this every few minutes then will stop for a while a repeat. i have not noticed them in the frogspawn together.
is this a mating ritual?
should i put a peice of tile in the tank for them even tho i dont plan on raising the babies?
if this is not a sign of mating what could it be?
