is this normal for a brittle starfish?

i moved this starfish out of my 45 gal because he was eating my snails...the water came from the 45 that he was in so all that business is still the same including temp...but now he just sitsthere like this twiddling his feelers...no attempts to hide or anything...he has been in the new tank for a day so far...any ideas what i should do and is he a "dreaded green"? i bought him because he was supposedly reef safe and non carnivorous...my bad on teh research end of that one...any info on him or ideas would be appreciated...

Ive got a brittle star. I noticed it usally comes out at night and somtimes during the day when Im feeding. Brittle stars are scavengers. Theyll eat left overs if they get a chance to get some. my brittle star never ate any of my snails. And thats the first Ive seen it in that position. I wonder whats up with that.

Those things will eat fish!!!!! They are not only scavengers!!! ARRRRRR!
