Is this normal for a hammer???

Just bought a hammer. I haven't been able to watch it much because of my schedule. A few of the tenacles are extended further out than the others, and a few are drooping down. What's going on?

Bought it 4 days ago. Tank is 29 gallons. Lighting is a JBJ 2x65 plus a 20w NO actinic. ph-8.2, ca-440, trates and trites-0, amonia-next to nothing. Need to test the other stuuf after I pick up some more kits. Temp is 79, I know a little low, but not that low.

Mine is healthy and growing....conditions are close to yours. Mine changes from day to day...some tentacles long...some short....sometimes all spread out ...sometimes sort of closed up.
I'd suggest letting it settle and get used to its new home before taking any drastic measures.
Mine changes from day to day and has grown considerably since I added it...so I'd think changes are not a major concern...unless they are drastic and the coral doesn't appear healthy.

can you post a pic of this activity--it could be sweeper tentacles--maybe it is looking for food
ever so often mine will have a few tentacles that get longer than others--I feed it and it fluffs up and acts happy
just my .02
