Is this too much????

I was setting up a gameplan for the future and was wondering if these fish would get along and be reef safe at the same time.
1 yellow tailed damsel, 2 percula clowns, 1 flame angel, and 1 scooter dragonett. I plan on putting the clowns in first then the damsel, then the angel and last the scooter. Good game plan or what?

The damsel will probably create trouble later. They get aggressive. I finally took my two out of my tank. I would put something else in instead. Maybe a firefish gobie or something. With the dragonette you will need lots of lr and a good population of copepods for him to eat.

Ok.. im going to play devil's advocate here a second.
My case may be rare, but it still is a case.
I bought damsels to cycle my tank. I bought 2 of the common blue damsels, 2 yellow tails and 2 green (whatever you call em) damsels.
Since the tank cycled I added more fish, I was unable to remove the damsels due to their speed.
I have close to your set up idea. I have 2 scooters, 1 yellow wrasse and a black and white clown in there as well as a coral beauty.
My damsels never bothered any of the other fish. They did however pick on eachother at times. To this day, my damsels are doing fine as well as the other fish. I did lose a damsel, and it very well could have been due to aggression. But it was from the OTHER damsels. They fight amongst themselves sometimes, I had seen this in the beginning. But I havent even seen that in a while and all seems to be fine.
Once again, I cant say this would happen everytime, but I can say that in my tank, my damsels have only had 'issues' with eachother and not with the other fish in the tank.
As a side note, my yellow tail is the most docile of all now, he has a spot of live rock that he DEFINITELY thinks is his turf and will defend against other damsels aggressively!! But other than that he leaves everyone else alone.
Could just be my luck tho

My luck seems to run with Alianated's, cycled the tank, enjoyed the fish, didn't want to take them back. So, I just kept them and have added a coral beauty, red scooter dragonet, 2 perc. clowns, anemone's, invert's, and other corals, and they only pick on their own kind. Although my Coral Beauty likes to join in and assert his dominance. Anywho there are a million to our two stories saying how bad they are. BTW I have 1 blue devil, 1 humbug, and one orange one that I forget the name of. have fun and good luck! Dave ;)

I've found that damselfish are unpredictable. Like many people say, they can be aggressive. Then again, I have a yellow tail that was a little terror at first, but now is quite docile and gets along well with the others.
The electric blue devils seem to be the most unpredictable.
IMO - aside from the green chromis, keeping damsels is a roll of the dice.
Your game plan sounds pretty good - I like your choice of the flame angel ;)

Thanks everyone for the information. It helped out a lot. I wanted to put the scooter in last so he had lots of food to eat when he got into the tank. And thanks for the comment on my selection of the flame angel I saw one at my lfs and knew I wanted one right away.

I have heard that when you add them initially (the damsels) they can be a problem. The cycling process sometimes makes them a little psychotic. I would probably wait until after the tank has cycled before adding them if you wish. I have 2 green chromis that were in my tank after cycling and they are fine. I have heard they are the least aggressive of most other damsel types.

i feel that if you only have one damsell it will fight with your other fish, but if you have a small group of them they fight between them selves and dont bother anyone else.

Hey gang-I have a blue damsel. Had him for about two years now. He's got sentimental value. No problems with him. He gets along great with my lawnmower, purple tang and gold-striped marroon. In fact, the blue and my gold-striped have been around each other for their entire time in my tanks. They keep tranfering with the new tanks I build. They've both seen about 4 different types of tanks. They're nowin my 55 gal reef and loving it. My clown thinks the bubble is an anenome.
