I was planning on getting a fuzzy dwarf lionfish and a snowflake eel in a 35 or 40 gallon tank put i just read in another thread that someones SFE killed their Volitans lion so will my proposed setup work or not

Actually, depending on the dimensions of the tank that you have, and yer waste removal efforts, and only like one other tank mate, u can keep a snowflake eel in that tank. It just needs to be sealed well, have a good protein skimmer, and enough rock for it to hide in. They really dont need to move much, it just depends onw ater volume to waste ratio. And uh, ive never heard of a snowflake eel killing a lion. Some other eels, yea, but snowflakes are peaceful. They have sort of bumpier teeth thatn the "fanged" eels. It will figure out that the lion is poisonous anyways...

i think a 30 would be ok but as liontamer said be sure your tank has a secure top and in your case a beefy hang on skimmer.ive alos heard of sfe's killing other fish ubruptly.

I wouldnt not put those fish in that small of a tank. Maybe just the darf lion. If they are both VERY small then its fine but you will have to trade them in or sell them once they get large.
