for my grade b pair i paid 150. one of them died, so he credited me 75. he sells his grade A pairs for 450, so after the credit he wants 150. i wanted to get opinions before i let out 150 and hear that i got ripped off. he prob paid 50 for them. 40-75 plus his money back + his profit = asking price.

Not sure if this is the same type of pair she just got or not, but either way, I bet she can steer you in the right direction.

If I had the cash to spare and it was there at my lfs, I would do it vs waiting on a new picasso from somewhere else that youve never seen before. I think this guy qualifies as a grade b, but hes lookin good. If it was at my store, right in front of me, right now, I would impulse buy him. he would look soooooo good in my tank.

Based on the picture, that is not a Grade A Picasso. In order for ORA to mark a fish as Grade A Picasso, one or both sides has at least one of the center white areas connecting to the neck or tail white area. That one would be classified as Grade B by them so the cost is less. I would not pay $150 for Grade B. Eventually the lines may grow to be like Grade A's, but right now they are not.

Trust me, I learned it the hard way. If you do a search with my screen name and Picasso clown as the key word, you should find an old thread from May (I think) where you'll see my story of buying first set of Picasso's and never take delivery on them. Later found out they were not even Grade B
, but were sold to me as Grade A.
