That seems a little high to me,I know that in my area you can get 125 tank, stand, filters, pumps, etc and sometimes canopy tops for anywhere of $300-$400.
I would offer $375 and then maybe go to $400 tops.
My mom is looking at a 150 gallon,with stand(home made)lights,filters,sand,etc for $125.
Bottom line,it's your choice.

if your going to set this up to be a saltwater tank i would say no its not really worth it. IMO. I think you could find a better deal if you looked around a little bit. if you can find a local reef club many times you can find great deals through there website or even look on C list.

it ends up being what you are willing to pay for it, if its the exact tank you want, the livestock you want then its what you want right?
I would probably pay $400ish.
Personally, if your handy why dont you look for someone selling just a tank and you could build the stand and canopy for around $300 and make exactly what you want
