ISO of Purple Finger Leather Frag

Good Morning to all
Im ISO of a piece of Purple Finger Leather. Is there anyone on the board that is will to sell and ship me a nice frag?

I've never seen a purple leather. Are you sure you were'nt looking at a pic under heavy actinics? GM to you too..

Not sure they stay purple. I bought what i thought was a light blue one, he was closed up in the LFS. When he opened in my tank he was ,ore light pink. Also have a green one who turns brown when he is fully open.

Some wholesalers will dye leathers to un-natural colors...
I have what I think is that same coral and it sometimes shows hints of purple around the base and stalks but mainly its a light pastel green color.
Because of its natural light color, the more actinics you run, the more blue/purple it will look.

That photo looks a little over exposed and they can be altered too. Not saying that one has been but so small and as said, lighting can alter the color of anything.
Heres that coral under 14K mh.......I think its the same one, if someone knows better, please say so....
Mine is a nice, hardy, easy to frag, fast growing, spreading leather tho. I love it.

the purple finger leather is actually a dyed coral, you should look into that further....ive seen that and a claimed yellow pagoda cup advertised, be weary of what you see.....
also question about a finger leather...i have a small frag of one and it doesnt seem to be opening up in PC's do they normally like MH's ? All my other lps' and softies (mushrooms and leathers) are doing great!!!

how long did it take to start growing that big....?? or i should ask how long did it t take to get acclimated to your tank and fully grow out? Mine is like spreading its fingers but its small and i see small polyps or pimples but thats all it does it doesnt grow upward to outward....i also have been moving it around alot....

Stop messing with it! Leathers don't like being touched by people. My leather grew that big in less than five months from a frag about 3". I feed my tanks though. ***) I also noticed recently I changed modded maxi jets to one with less power, and all the corals in that tank expanded.

I found the same thing in my tank. Leather do not like high water flow. Make your water flow very gental and do not touch them. Place the leather where you want it and forget about it and watch it grow. I found the more you play lets move the coral they just wont open. I also found my leathers open better with lower lighting. I running an orbit system with the following set-up:
1- actinic
1-dual day light
2- dual actinics
All my leathers in my tank look awsome!!!!!!!!
