because one of my new snails has died. I was gone for a couple of days and when I got home it was lying on its back. I know they can't roll over, and now I feel bad because I wasn't there to save it

Are you sure it's dead? It could have just given up trying. Take it out and smell it - you can tell if they're dead.

I have 6 turbo's in my aggressive tank, and everyday when I come home from work I have to flip 6 turbo's back over
.
Sorry about your snail if it did indeed perish. Look at it this way though...you inadvertently helped in pointing out a very obvious flaw in the evolution of the snail...changes are currently in progress...another billion years and we will not have to flip our snails

I usually go to Sandy's Pet Shop to get good corals and fish but can be kind of high on the price. They are on Hess Ln which is off Poplar Level Rd.
For good coral prices I go to Exoctic Reef and Pets which is on Preston Hwy. near Fern Valley Rd.
And sometimes I like to venture out to Aquatica Reef Supply which is only saltwater and the guy made all of the tanks in the store! This store is located near Taylorsville Rd.
There is a place called Pet Palace which I got my tank(8g Biocube) from. They do lay away and if you don't pay it off in 30 days they use the money that you spent paying for it and turn it into store credit for you.
This store is on Goldsmith Ln off Btown rd. They don't have a wide selection of sw fish though.
what kind of tank do you have? Sandy's has the best LR IMO

I have a 46 bowfront. i get almost everything from exotic reef and pets. the people who work there are just really cool. sandy's does have the best LR. Its pretty expensive though, thats the only reason i havent bought it. i have had the same problem with my snails dying, i picked up one the other day because it hadnt moved in a few days and its guts just fell out of the shell. where do u get ur snails, because that may be the problem!

I don't think it is where I get them but idk lol. I bought all of my snails(2nass,2 turbos) from Sandy's. Yea that one turbo is the only that has died so far
. He was just laying there and I picked him up and smelled him and he was definitely dead. But yea the ppl at Exotic are tight, and they seem to be more honest about stuff IMO, but who knows. So what kind of stuff do you have,or will get later for your tank? I noticed that your profile says that you have a cleaner shrimp which is tight.

I have to be honest, but you should get used to snails dying. I've probably replaced all my snails several times over since starting this hobby. Partly because hermits killed them, partly because they fell on their backs somewhere I couldn't see/reach and couldn't get over, partly because of other natural causes. It's when you loose a $100 fish that it really sucks.
